STAR 100.7 FM: "New details are emerging about a lawsuit that the family of Michael's 12-year-old accuser filed against J.C. Penney some years ago. And once again, the details do not paint this family in a very positive light.
See, back in 1998, the boy, his mother and his brother were allegedly BEATEN by security guards in the parking lot of a J.C. Penney store... after the boy shoplifted something. The mother also claimed she was SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by one of the guards during the confrontation. Well, the family sued, and two years ago, J.C. Penney settled with them for $137,500.
A month before the settlement, the boy's mother filed for divorce from her husband. And HE told his divorce lawyer... one Russell Halpern... that his wife had coached the kids on what to say during their depositions in the J.C. Penney lawsuit. In fact, she even WROTE STUFF OUT for them!!!"
Well itsn't that nice. Not saying that this molestation couldn't have happened but it sure does cast doubt in my mind.
