Well I want to wish my brother a Happy Belated Birthday. His birthday was yesterday. He is 23 now. My sister's birthday is today. Happy 25th! Today is also Harry Potter's birthday and the author who created Harry Potter, JK Rowling. I won't mention how old she is:o)
Well my brother came back from the Gulf after being deployed in December last Satuday. He's been working a lot since coming back. Unreal! But he has a two week vacation coming up soon. He brought back a bunch of tee shirts, blankets, towels, and jerky from Belrain, Australia, and Hawaii. Some of the stuff is neat, some of it is not so, and the jerky is something I can not touch. It's from Australia and it's not beef, it's crocodile meat and kangaroo meat. Yuck. I like jerky and I was going to eat it until I saw the pictures on the front of the package. I thought they were there for the sake of being there until I decided, what if the picture is used to show what kind of meat it is. So I read the ingrediants and it turned out to be what I dreaded. I'm not that open to trying new food. I'm already giving away some of the jerky but for whatever reason my brother bought a lot. If anyone is interested in croc meant or kangaroo meat, let me know. Enjoy the last of July, here comes August.

Lance a lot. Tour de Lance. Drive for 5. Whew it's been a close Tour but Lance Armstrong is officially the 5 time champion of the grueling Tour De France. Congratulations Lance. You are a true champion.
Well I've tried to publish new posts for a while now but I've been having some problems with blogger. I still have a lot to post about but I'm afraid Blogger will lose my post again. Whatever problem they have, I hope they fix it soon!
Tonight Todd and I will be going down to PB for the Tour's viewing party. I know that seems to be all that I'm talking about but it is just amazing to me what these guys go through. Tyler Hamilton is just the most amazing guy on the tour. He fell down in a crash on the second day of the race. The guy has a double fraction on his collar bone. Does he desert the tour? No he continues to race and is in 7th place. Amazing! He was also responsible for slowing down the rest of the field when Lance fell down and then had a problem with his right pedel. There are some wonderful stories with the Tour and I just wished more people were interested I guess. Unlike some sports athelete, these guys deserved to be talked about. But we know what is dominating sporting news these days. I'm reserving judgement until I know the facts, more people should do the same. They shouldn't be so quick to defend someone and dismiss this case so quickly. Right now I see some people making a mockery of this case. Whatever the final verdict is, people's lives will never be the same.
And to any Rome listeners, stop with the French jokes already. They are a lot more progressive than some myopic Americans.
Le Tour De Lance. I think that is all that needs to be said. My god this man is amazing. Check your sports highlight tonight. My goodness, if he doesn't win I will be very angry. He is so amazing! He's got a lot of heart to come back from a potentially disatrous fall. Damn fans, watch what you're doing!
Damn don't know what's up with blogger but I haven't been able to post in a couple of days. I'm glad that it looks like things are up and running.
Well Le Tour De France is getting real exciting and so nerve wracking. Lance Armstrong is trying to win his 5th consecutive tour and it's not going so easy. He seems very calm and very relax so that is a good sign. Be sure to catch the Tour everyday on OLNtv. They have excellent coverage and thankgoodness another station besides the big 4 is covering it.
I went to see the Mandy Moore film "How to Deal" on Friday. I had to support Mandy because the moore (get it) I see her, the moore I like her. She seems so genuinuely down to earth, sweet and modest unlike her other pop star counterparts. Well I have to say that Mandy does do a good job on the film along with Alison Janney of the tv show "The West Wing". She's got great screen presence and has the stuff to make it as an actress. The movie however was too long and not really that good. The hottie in the movie is luke warm but when I saw him interviewed on some show he had an English accent. Kudos for the guy for a great American accent because usually I can detect them. The accent made him much hotter to me and I thought they should have let him speak with his normal accent because an accent adds to your hottness factor unless it's a Southern accent. Don't ask.
Well I saw "Pirates of the Carribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". I have to say that Orlando Bloom is so hot! And Johnny Depp was hilarious. I must bow down to the great Geoffrey Rush as well. The cast was great and despite being a lead in the movie there was still not even screen time for Orlando! It was a fun, swashbuckling, good ol' time.
Well blogger went out and changed their format. I know that I don't like it right now. I haven't been able to post so finally it's nice that I can. Anyway yesterday marked the anniversay of the deaths of two of our presidents who died on the same day and year, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. I hope everyone got to see some pretty fireworks.
