Happy Halloween everyone!

Well Todd and I went to Balboa Park's, Trail of Terror that I wrote about earlier. It was great. There were some very spooky stuff and genuinely scary stuff. They put together a great show. They warned us to stick together and Todd and I were in the very back of the group, and the guy said in charge said, "don't be in the back." I was like we gotta make our way to the middle or something. I was freaking out. We were running most of the time because the group was leaving us! Man there was some good stuff that I have never seen used in a haunted house before. Balboa Park is a great place to go if you want a scary treat. It all starts before you even go inside the haunted trail. They usually play some scary movie in a big screen while people are in line waiting to get in. It's great to get you scared before you get on with your adventure. So while most of us are preoccupied watching the movie there are of course actors roaming around scaring the beejeezus out of everyone. One actor in particular was great. I've never seen so many grown and BIG guys run or yell in fright. It was great!

Well it's the 29th and Tori's new album is out today. I can not wait to get it. I think that it's going to be awesome. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

I love that monkey in the Sprint commerical. It is the cutest commercial! I love it when he grabs the tissue like he was really going to use it. I thought that there should have been more monkey and less people. The monkey is so cute and small and what good acting! The monkey acted better than some real people.

Well I was eagerly anticipating the new Tori cd and it was not as thrilling to get it. I had heard much of the album prior to today so the suprise and anxiousness wasn't there. I don't think I'll spoil myself like that again. I'll always be a fan of Tori Amos and I will always buy whatever she produces. So the next time she releases an album I won't be listening to any early cuts of the song, I'll just go out and buy the cd. I hope I can hold out for the next Harry Potter book, The Order of the Phoneix. Man summer 2003 can't come soon enough!

Well what a sport's weekend. The Angels are the World Series Champion! Yea baby. The Aztecs won their game. And of course the icing on the cake, the Raiders have now lost 3 in a row. And I forgot to mention. Michelle won! She didn't have a great performance but she is ALWAYS the class of the field. Congratulations for winning her 7th Skate America title.

Well it's rally monkey time again because the Angel's were down 5-0 in the 7th and again they came back to tie the series at 3-3. Tonight is the deciding game. Winner takes all.

Well all these horror and Halloween movies are being shown this week because Halloween is coming soon. I've never been a fan of scary movies because I have an over active imagination. I just finished watching Halloween 4 and now am watching 5. I haven't seen all of the horror movies but anyone want to fill me in on the other 6 movies?

Well it's rally monkey time because the Angel's are down 2-3 in the series against the Giants. If they don't win tonight, then it's over for the Angels.

Last night I went to Sea World with Todd, Miriam, and her friend Laura. Sea World has this thing called Terror of the Deep. They dress up Sea World and have a couple of haunted places to go and people dressed up to scare. It's a lot like Knott's Scary Farm but on a smaller scale. It was a lot of fun and they did a great job. I think Knott's could learn a thing or two. I geninely jump a few times. I don't go running and screaming like a lot of folks do but there were some EXCELLENT actors there as well. If you get the chance, I would definitely recommend going to Sea World.

The one place where we haven't been to this year is the, Trail of Terror, in Balboa Park. It's one of my favorite haunts because it's OUTSIDE! It being out doors just brings an entirely different element to the haunted mazes or houses. They get to incorporate the elements into the show and it makes for an orginal adventure. I hope we make it to the show this year because it's always a well put together show.

I'm sad to report that Richard Harris has passed away at age 72. I was just talking about how much I was looking foward to seeing the new Harry Potter movie, The Chamber of Secrets, but I am sad that Richard Harris did not live long enough to see the movie in which he played Professor Albus Dumbledore. Harris was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease.

The start of the figure skating event has begun at Skate America in Spokane, WA. Michelle Kwan, my most favorite athlete of all time is there. The event will be telecast this weekend so be sure to catch it on ABC. Check your local listings.

Well I preordered a special limited edition DVD/CD of Tori's new album from Amazon. Here's what it comes with:

  • Scarlet's Walk, the album
  • Access to Scarlet's Web
  • Keepsake Box
  • Map
  • Charm
  • Stickers
  • 12 Perforated Polaroids
  • Exclusive DVD - including the Gold Dust and A Sorta Fairytale music videos, an audio commentary by Tori and more!

Well the Giants won the game last night. Man did that put me in a bad mood. Well I hope this series only goes to 6 games. I really don't want the Giants to win. Go Angels!

The Angel's kicked the Giants butt last night. They are up 2-1 now and I can't wait for them to win tonight. I know it's late in the east coast but the Angel's are an exciting team to watch, so make sure you catch it on the tube tonight.

Thanks to Shelley for allowing me to visit her at work. Thanks a lot. We'll get together for lunch soon.

Well I am in the process of resurrecting my personal website. I had one through College Club which had partnered with Homestead.com The relationship however ended and I did not move my site to another company. So I want to start over. I'm not that motivated to work on it because I want to do something different than I had. So here's my question. What should I try to do with a new personal website? I plan to put up a pictures page of course. But after that, I don't know what else I should do. Any ideas?

What a sport weekend! The Chargers beat the Raiders! 6-1 baby! The Angles should have been up 2-0 but I'll take a split. And yes, the Aztecs also won. yippee. Well Todd, his mom, and me went to Trophies to watch the Charger game for the first half of the game. It was a lot of fun because playing the Raiders bring out a lot of people to the sports bar and it was loud and rockin'. A lot of fun.

Well I was invited to 2 house warming parties yesterday and I decided to go to Julie's instead of Gabriel's because, 1) I accepted her invite first because she sent it first and 2) Todd doen't know Gabriel. I guess the choice was pretty easy. We had a lot of fun at the party but we arrived 3 hours late! It was completely my fault because I thought the party started at 7 but it actually started at 5. So we didn't get there until 8. The food was excellent. Thanks to Robert for firing up the grill again for us :o) The apartment was very cute. Hey if anyone is interested in getting a mural painted, Julie is a wonderful artist. Well the people at the party started playing "Beyond Balderdash" and it was a lot of fun. I want to buy it now!

Well I dragged Kristen to sushi yet again and it was dee-licious. We finally got together to watch "A Walk to Remember". We didn't end up hanging out earlier in the week because Kristen did a parent a favor and had her hair cut. It looks very good btw. Kristen cried. I think it's only her second and third viewing tonight. The reason why we saw it a "third" time was because we watched part of the commentary. Personally for me sometimes it's the best part or it can enhance a movie. For example, I rented "Training Day" and I thought it was an ok movie. After I watched the director's commentary where he explained a lot of things about the movie and what this and that represented, did I truly come to really like the movie. And if Adam Shankman ever reads this, release the deleted scene!

I heard Tori's new single, "A Sorta Fairytale" being played on the radio. The reason why I am so excited about this is because the song was not played on the usual station. When Tori's got a new single, the station that will play it for at least a little while is, 91X. It is our alternative station and since Tori's music is hard to categorize, it is the ONLY station that will play her music. Well today all's that changed. I heard her new single being added to Star 100, a top 40 station. I am so excited because her music is being played for a different audience and bigger audience to boot. I am so pumped for Oct 29th and Dec 13th. Tori is amazing and I can not wait to get the new cd and watch her in concert.

Well today I went into downtown San Diego to help Miriam shop for a friends birthday. We bought a couple cigars and a sexy cocktail dress for Miriam among other things. I on the other hand purchased an obscenely loud Spongebob Squarepants t shirt. It's cute, especially the eyes and it's location on the shirt ;) Well no make-up was purchased today, that's a record. I did however get to pout. See Todd, you aren't the only one that I pout to. I pouted with Miriam as well. Sorry for that love :D

Taunting or Just Funny?

Terrell Owens of the San Francisco 49ers pulled one of the most controversial stunt at last night's Monday Night Football game. For those of you who didn't see it or hear about it here's what happened:

Owens scored a touch down in a close game. Now we know that football players are notorious for celebrating, especially when it is a big play. I guess the dance thing is old or something but Owens had to separate himself from the rest of his peers. Owens idea of celebrating meant breaking out a sharpie from his sock (yes he stuck it in there in the 4th quarter) and proceeded to autograph the football and handed it to his financial planner.

Now for me, that's just showing up the other team and the other professional football players on the field. He claimed that it was a spur of the moment thing on ESPN radio. Yea right! I know every football player never gets on the field without a sharpie pen! Give me a break. Just admit it for what it is and get on with it.

Got my tickets!

Location: La Jolla, CA
Date & Time: Friday, December 13, 2002 7:30PM

I am so absolutely disgusted about what is happening in the D.C. area. I hope they catch this murderer soon. My thoughts and condolences to all the families involved and effected.

Well I am hanging out with Kristen tonight. We are going to watch my current favorite movie, "A Walk to Remember". I love Mandy Moore and Shane West in the movie, wow what chemistry!

YEA! The tickets for the Tori concert goes on sale tomorrow. Cross your fingers for good seats!
I saw the full Tori Amos video for "A Sorta Fairytale". It is her strangest video and I think that's saying a lot. It kind of grossed me out. I liked the idea of the video but I don't think I like it. Here's a description of what the video looks like" It starts out with the camera filming someone's foot with a heel. Then pans up to show one leg with Tori's head on it. There's also a guy with just one arm and his head at the top of it. So the video shows just these 2 limbs with heads at the top of them. Other things happen and I am a little grossed out to continue to write about it. If you want to see the video for yourself, you can download it here: http://www.hereinmyhead.com/videos/index.html

Oh my, what a game. The Chargers vs. Chiefs. That was an ugly game, did anyone want to win it? 5 turn overs plus a blocked punt! 35-34, hell a win is a win. 5-1 baby! We're in 1st place.
"San Diego Super Chargers, San Diego Chargers. C-H-A-R-G-E!!!"

Rally Monkey time. Congratulations to the Anaheim Angels for winning their first pennent and going to their first World Series.

Well yesterday, Todd and I went to Oktoberfest and it was fun. Damn, going to these events can be sooo expensive but the food was good:o) I usually don't eat bratwurst but it was really good. I had it before and it wasn't great but thank goodness it was good because I was really hungry! Going to Oktoberfest was funny because those Germans sure love their beer and their beer songs :D

I saw the movie, Amelie, the other day and I just have to say that it is awesome. The lead actress who plays her, Audrey Tautou, has the most amazing face. The cover of the movie doesn't do her justice. Her name being Audrey of course there has been comparison to another famous Audrey, that being Audrey Heburn. Her face and eyes are just amazing and I loved her hair! She It is by the way very French in it's style and story telling:o) Anyone ever see the 1956 movie Red Balloon? I liked it a lot for it's sweetness and quirkiness.

Congratulations to President Jimmy Carter for winning the 2002 Noble Peace Prize. This wa a very well deserved win for a good man who cares about society and the world.

I hope that President Clinton will eventually take this path as well.

Well today went well. I hate the late day however, 4:30? That's too late to be in school in my opinion. I'd rather have the early start and get out at 2. I guess I'm used to that schedule.

I have to vent. I HATE birds, pidgeons in particular. I had a bird poop on me today and it was so disgusting. yuck. Damn flying rats. (credit to Mr. T)

I miss my little cousins. I've seen the two oldest lately but not Brenda. I miss her. She's too cute!

Hey JC, thanks for posting here and reading. I hope you will be a regular visitor. I'd like to get in contact with you but you didn't post your email address.

Well I am also anxiously awaiting the pre-sale date for the Tori Amos concert. I want to get good tickets unlike the last tour so I've been checking when they'll go on sale but unfortunately there hasn't been any news on the presale date. augghhh

Well I went to the mall today and bought a bunch of tops. I got a few things for work and a couple of t shirts. I'm totally into t shirts right now. Since I don't think Todd reads this blog I'm going to tell you guys what I bought. I got a very cute Charlie Brown,
football-esque t-shirt with Charlie in a football uniform. It is cut in the front like Madonna has done with her t shirts and is orange and blue (Clairemont colors!) I am taking a walk down memory lane or something because I bought a Strawberry Shortcake t shirt from Hot Topic as well. I loved Strawberry Shortcake growing up so I had to get it. And besides it's scratch and sniff ;D

I was very bored today so I decided to put on some old henna tattoo I bought a loooong time ago. It totally looks fake and some of it was missing. Well at the mall I had 3 people ask if that was real! "I was like no, I was just playing around." It totally doesn't look real. Whatever.

Blog Face Lift

Well I hated the way the old blog looked to some degree. I hated the way the text got smaller with the older posts so I decided to try a different look. I like the way this looks, it still needs some work but I'm not working on it anymore today.

I also have a new feature called a tag board. (I decided to make that feature colorful so that it is distinguished from the rest of the page and also to celebrate the colors of SDSU.) Directions: When you click the tag button, if your post is highlighted that means it is going through. Do not hit the button again, give it a second to go through. I don't know why the comment box has been so slow lately, so you might want to just use the tag board to say hello, otherwise continue to use the comment box for specific posts.

Oh by the way, please let me know what you think of this new format! Thanks. xoxo

If that's true, this movie is going to be huge. I LOVED the first movie and it made me want to read the books. Click here if you want to read SPOILERS about the movie.

Well Todd and I went up to Knott's Scary Farm on Saturday night. It was a spur of the moment decision on Todd's part and I went along with it. We had a lot of fun up there. Todd enjoys it more than I do but I do have a lot of fun as well. We'll be going to the Sea World Terror of the Deep for sure and maybe even Trail of Terror at Balboa Park. I think Halloween is very close to being Todd's favorite holiday after Christmas.

Well I talked to Miriam today and we talked about our little shopping trip last Friday. I forgot to mention that as we were walking around Fashion Valley I ran into someone. I ran into a make-up artist for Tony & Tina. When she said, "Hi Chance". I didn't recognize her at first, she looked like someone I might have known from college or something. I knew I knew her and I was trying to remember her name. She said, "it's Catherine". I was like oh yeah, from Nordstroms. It was soooo funny because I was going to Nordstroms's make-up counter so often that Catherine remembers me. Scary I know.

Went and had lunch with Kristen at Benihana's yesterday and we did a little shopping when her boyfriend Jason called. He won a week long trip to Hawaii from a local radio station. How awesome is that? Congratulations to the two of them. I later that day also went shopping with Miriam. Man we had a lot of fun and we bought some awesome makeup. The makeup that we bought at the Body Shop was cool because Miriam picked the colors herself. Good job. I usually find colors and stuff that I think will look good on her. I bought stuff at L'Occitane a new store I have recently discoverd and am totally addicted to. Their stuff is awesome. I picked up a new eye shadow called humid from MAC and the color is a dark smokey green called "humid". Totally pretty and hey Miriam I plan to "smoke it out" :o)

Well I am totally into this new Daniel Bedingfield song "Gotta Get Through This". I think it's very original and fresh. I love his voice in this. A new band that I also discovered through the "A Walk to Remember" soundtrack is Switchfoot, a Christian rock group based here in San Diego. Every single song on the soundtrack rocks and I'm trying to locate their album at the moment but check out these two artist because I think they're great.

Well yesterday was my last day as a long term sub and I'm taking the rest of the week off to relax. It was tough to go back and teach for some reason this time around. I had a relatively easy go of it but for some reason I was so pooped at the end of the day. Well today I'm going to do a bit of shopping and hopefully won't damage my credit card too much in the process. I'm supposed to meet Miriam and we're mainly doing some shopping for her thank goodness.
